Fall is creeping up here in Denver! We had lower temps and brisk mornings this week, which are my absolute fave. I am always so energized by the start of the Fall season. Something about your entire surroundings shifting and changing.. different tree colors, different seasonal foods (#pumpkinspiceeverything), different sports (#gobroncos).. makes me want to evaluate and change things too. Hopefully this weather sticks around all weekend and I can have some glorious Fall running weather.
We don’t have much planned for the weekend so I look forward to what lies ahead!
Current Health and Fitness Faves
I always love reading about other people’s current favorite things. I get excited to read other bloggers lists of things to see if there’s something I should try! I realized that over the last several weeks, I had accumulated a few new favorite Health/Fitness related products that I just had to share. I’d love to know what your current faves are in the comments!
- Qalo Ring: A silicone wedding ring is just pure genius! It’s a ring designed for an active lifestyle. Matt and I bought these when we got married and we wear them to Crossfit, to hike, and on the water. They have tons of colors and are super affordable. For me, it gives me peace to have something on my hand so I don’t have that panicked moment of “WHERE’S MY RING?!”
- Collagen: Related to the above picture, my nails have never looked better thanks to Great Lakes Collagen. I had heard all about it on the blog-o-sphere and have been adding a half a scoop into my coffee for the last 6 weeks (it’s odorless and tasteless). My hair and nails have honestly never looked better. I took Biotin back in the day and never noticed a difference.. but this product has worked SO FAST. It’s also supposed to be great for your joints, which as a Crossfitter, is very important to me.
- Kodiak Power Cakes: I’m not exaggerating when I say I have these pancakes for breakfast 9 out of 10 mornings. They’re high protein, SO tasty, and fill me up after a good morning workout. I also love getting Walden Farms calorie free syrup to drizzle over the top or sometimes nut butter if I’m wanting some extra fat.
- Natural Calm Magnesium: I am generally an anxious person. For the most part, I channel it in very productive ways, but I am always looking for natural ways to reign it in. A friend of mine recommended a magnesium supplement and I found Natural Calm Magnesium. It’s a lemon-y powder that I put in hot water sometimes with ginger tea and drink at night to wind down before bed. It truly chills me out to my core. From their site, “Magnesium helps restore cellular balance as a result of the body’s stress response. Magnesium plays a key role in reducing the risk and health complaints associated with stress.“
Meditation Playlist – I discovered tons of meditation playlists on Spotify that have helped tremendously in keeping me focused during my morning meditation. I am easily distracted by the dogs pitter patter or Matt making breakfast downstairs and I find zoning out to these tunes is helpful. The one I’m loving is called Meditation Relaxation by Meditation Relaxation Club! But you can also just search on the word meditation to find tons!
Have a great weekend!
